Hey, it’s Jordan from the Email Intel Newsletter.

As we head into 2025, the inbox is evolving, and so are customer expectations.

What worked a year ago might not cut it anymore.

After raking in over $20M+ the past 5 years across various ecommerce brands, let me explain where I believe email marketing is headed…

1. Shorter, Punchier Copy Will Win

With attention spans continuing to shrink and competition everywhere, long emails are becoming a thing of the past.

Customers will skim your email in 3 seconds or less and then go onto the next, so every word needs to count.

  • Use bold headlines and clear CTAs.

  • Cut the fluff—focus on what truly matters.

  • Get to the point quickly, or risk losing your audience.

2. Visuals Will Take Center Stage

Text-only emails won’t cut it anymore.

Expect:

  • High-quality product visuals to do the heavy lifting.

  • Graphics and infographics that highlight key benefits or processes.

  • A focus on seamless, mobile-first design that’s easy to engage with.

3. Omnichannel Integration Will Be Essential

Email can no longer stand alone.

In 2025, it’s all about creating seamless experiences across channels:

  • Use SMS for quick updates or urgent offers.

  • Sync email with loyalty programs or app notifications.

  • Tie your emails into social proof and UGC to deepen trust.

Do these things and you’ll win in 2025. Trust.
